Louisiana SenioRx Program
The Louisiana SenioRx Program is designed to help older adults access drug
manufacturers' discount cards and pharmaceutical assistance programs and assist
them in applying for such programs.
Eligibility for the SenioRx Program participation shall be limited to residents of
the state of Louisiana who meet, at minimum:
- Must be 60 years of age or older
- Must have a gross income that does not exceed three hundred percent (300%)
of the federal poverty guidelines.
- Must not have voluntarily canceled a state or federal prescription drug
reimbursement plan within six (6) months prior to application for enrollment
in the SenioRx Program.
Cenla Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is currently administering the Louisiana
SenioRx Program in the parishes of Avoyelles, Catahoula, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches,
Rapides, Sabine, and Winn.
Scheduled monthly, pharmaceutical assistance activities are planned for each of the
parishes in the service area. Older adults needing assistance with prescriptions should call

City of Alexandria - SHARP
The Senior Health and Resource Program helps adults living within the City of Alexandria
access drug manufacturers' discount cards and pharmaceutical assistance programs and
assists them in applying for such programs.
Eligibility for SHARP shall be limited to residents of the City of Alexandria who meet,
at minimum:
- Living within the city limits of Alexandria, LA
- Must be 50 years of age or older
- Must have a gross income which falls within the HUD poverty guidelines.
Emphasis is placed on residents of the Community Development Block Grant target area.
